FAQ
What is Honey for Your Soul Ministries?
I primarily minister through individual discipling sessions and group workshops. My passion is to walk beside people, point them to Jesus, so they may experience their freedom in Christ through the Holy Spirit.
What type of discipling will I receive?
Honey for Your Soul employs a method of counseling utilizing spiritual, Biblical principles. In this kind of counseling, the Holy Spirit is the Counselor, and God becomes the agent of change, provided the client cooperates with Him. My goal is to convey a way of freedom from mental, emotional and day to day hardships of life.
Availability?
Appointments will be booked based on your needs and my availability.
Insurance?
I do not accept insurance.
Church Affiliation?
I am not affiliated with any church or denomination.
Confidentiality?
I adhere to a professional code of ethics and practices. You can depend on my confidentiality.
What can I expect from a session?
Sessions are an hour long. In the beginning we will go through your history, this may be painful, but it will get better. The more you feast (on God’s goodness) the sweeter your life becomes.
How long does the counseling process take?
It can take up to 26 weeks, sometimes longer when necessary.
Cost?
Suggested payment is $50 per session. However, if for any reason that amount is not possible, please pray and ask God for the amount possible. I don’t want this to be a hardship. I accept cash, Cash App, Venmo or PayPal.
What if I am unable to keep my appointment?
Please give a 48 hour notice of cancellation, so I can make adjustments to my calendar. Except for, sickness or emergencies, I ask that you give $25 for missed sessions. Please consider it your responsibility to cooperate with me on this, whenever possible. Serious inconsistency regarding appointments will require me to use the time slot for someone on my waiting list.
What about assignments to be done outside of my session?
Since Christ is the resource for all of life, I have no desire to lead you to become dependent upon me as your counselor. For this reason, there will be short assignments that are to be done outside of your counseling hours. They are given to lead you to God’s truth about your life in Christ. In order for you to get the most out of your counseling, it is best for you to complete your assignments before your next session, and come prepared to discuss them. I will also have recommended reading, which is not required but if you are a reader, I believe you will enjoy the suggested book(s).
